Pic01 Raw Iron

The forging process begins with raw native iron ore then heated and hammered repeatedly until its formed into a steel billet.

Pic02 Hammer Forging

The heated billet of steel is hammered to the rough shape and length.

Pic03 Blade Engraving

The rough blade is allowed to cool, its then the intricate patterns are chiseled onto the sides of the blade, the designs are very specific to the individual smith and underneath Buddist mantra's are carved in sancrit for divine protection.

The blade under goes final tempering any minor adjustments to the blade and final quenching
