The Fuchi Kashira are matching Iron with silver inlay of Sakura and Pine Tree design. The Menuki are Mino Goto School Shakudo with gold leafed flowers. The Tsuba is Mokko shaped Iron mid 1800's with Textured surface of size and shape suitable to the blade. The Tsuka is bound in Black Silk with Large Grain Same.Condition: The Blade is in exellent condition for a Koto sword with only a few minute lamination lines. The Hamon is clear with a turnback Boshi with no chips or staining and Shinogi, Yokote lines clear and well defined. All in all very good condition.
Comment: A very nice genuine Koto sword signed, mounted in good condition. A great sword to start a collection or research piece, I am fairly sure it is a late Koto Bizen Nagamitsu, and would make a nice laito.
